The earlier reviews are absolutely right on the mark. Dan knows (and enjoys) his craft and we had two completely fun evenings on beautiful Lake Minnetonka. And we caught fish! It was so nice to spend this screen-free time with my kids (17 and 13). We’re already talking about a next time with visiting family in the fall.

I have been fishing with many different guides here in Hawaii and other places. So far Dan of Jasper Guide Services has been the best. Yes I caught nice fish, but just as important to me is fishing for the day with someone pleasant. He seemed to have the right blend of instruction and patience to help bring my fishing up to the next level. I had a really good time. Highly recommended guide.

It was too warm sunny day for fishing last weekend.
But I was able to catch lots of Largemouth, which were pretty good condition as Dan knows how to deal with that situation.
His boat and rigs were perfect for me to make my day.
Hope to be back there with him soon.

Wow what a great day on Lake Minnetonka! We caught bass all morning long. Dan was great with my brother, who is an experienced bass fisherman from Texas, and he was also very patient with a couple of beginners. We all had a blast and Dan really put us on the fish! Money WELL spent! We will definitely be calling Dan for ice fishing this winter.

Just wanted to thank Dan for a great day on the lake. When the son-in-law suggested we try his guide service, I have admit that for a 70+ guy, who has fished in many parts of the world for the last 50 years, I went along with his idea, not expecting much. What a difference from my other guided trips. Dan knows his lakes, where to catch fish, how to catch them and has great equipment. We had my grandson along, and Dan made him into a life long fisherman. Looking forward to my next trip.

My son and I hired Dan to fish for largemouth bass. He started us with basics, gauging our skill and knowledge. We caught fish right off. Lots of rain and high lake levels restricted our ability to traverse the lake. No wake. Dan took us to proven spots where bass could be found. He explained what we needed to do and we caught fish. Very personable and knowledgeable. We were not disappointed. Dan even guided the boat between rainstorms. We stayed dry as rain went East and West of us. He never stopped trying to help my son get a big fish. He stopped 100 yards from the dock to drop us off to try a secret spot. It produced! Very enjoyable day. Thanks Dan!

My brother and I went fishing with dan this July, he was a great guide with top notch equipment. Very knowledgable and we caught tons of bass all 3 and 4 pounders with the occasional 5 pound. Definitely will go again! A+++

What a great time!!! I had a family reunion with people coming in from all over the country. Kids ages starting at at 5 years old to grandparents 75 years old. Dan was able to give each age group a memory of a life time. I was worried that the kids attention span would not last…or the grandparents couldn’t take the day event…but I was wrong…Dan made it so no one got bored and they want to make it an annual event. FYI….we caught 4 to 5 lbers!!!!!! What a awesome day…

Searching for a great gift for the man that has everything? Well, I was too. I ended up sending my husband and a few friends out on a fishing trip w. Jasper Guide Services for his birthday. I had never done anything like this before and wasn’t sure what to expect, but Dan and crew took care of all the details. My husbands friends consisted of novice to very experienced fishermen and all of them, every single one, raved about their experience -making me the all-star wife of summer, and in great anticipation of my next birthday :)

Dan has taken me on guided fishing trips in open water and on hard water. He has a great boat and a great ice house! I have always had a good time fishing with Dan and I learn each time out. He is patient and has a deep understanding of rods, reels, tackle, and other equipment like line, depth locators, and GPS devices. He always takes time to answer my questions. He has taught me a lot about the seasonal movement of fish. The bottom line is my experiences with Dan has made me a much better fisherman.
